DESCRIPTION:This overhead crane operator safety training course covers operation\, inspection\, rigging\, owners’ responsibility and operators’ responsibility. It includes hands on operator evaluations as well.   This training meets the requirements mandated in OSHA Overhead and gantry cranes 29CFR1910.179(b)(8)\, ASME B30.16\, B30.17 and OSH act of 1970 General Duty Clause 5(a)(1) \nA completion of safety training certificate is awarded by Cranes 101.  Operators who successfully pass the hands on qualification receive a Qualified Operator certificate as well as a wallet card \n  \nThis forklift operator safety training course is a focused operations and safety training for operators. \nIndustrial forklifts are covered in this class. DESCRIPTION:You are required to have a Hoisting Engineer license to operate any equipment that lifts over 10 ft in height\, over 500 lbs in weight or over 1/4 yard of bucket capacity in Massachusetts\, per the 520 CMR 6.00 law. DESCRIPTION:You are required to have a Hoisting Engineer license to operate any load hoisting equipment in Massachusetts\, per the 230 CMR 6.00 law.  \nLicense Preparation:  Cranes101 offers these courses for our customers both at your location for groups (minimum charge applies) as well as monthly at our Bellingham location (Class 2 and Class 1 license prep) held on the Saturday before the state’s testing week – see calendar).  If holding a group class\, we suggest that all students needing licenses submit their applications at the same time so they get the same testing date.This course is designed to prepare the attendee for successful completion of the Hoisting Engineers’ license test.  Cranes101 recommends that before taking this hoisting license preparation course to be sure to apply for a test date and then schedule/ take the class closest to the test date.  The state’s exam schedule can be found here.   \nWhen planning your license prep course\, please be aware that it can take 4-8 weeks to get a testing date. \nContinuing Education:  Once a Hoisting License has been obtained\, the holder must keep it active by participating in continuing education every 2 years.  This is a safety seminar that will earn the operator his/hers required CEUs.  These courses will allow you to renew your Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer License Cranes101 is an approved continuing education facility (HECE-000005)  We offer these courses to customers for group training (minimum charge applies) as well as online AND monthly at our Bellingham location for Class 1 and 2 license holders.   \nWe also offer License Prep and Continuing Education courses completely online.  \nThe state of MA recently made some changes to their licensing program and standards (November 2025).  Cranes 101 will provide adjustments to our curriculum as needed.  \nTo self-register for any course on this day\, you can now buy a ticket – please choose one of the options for each person you are buying for!
