Cranes101 Open NCCER Class Registration: Terms & Conditions

By checking the agreement box and completing your registration, you (the “Client” or “Student”) agree to the following terms and conditions with Cranes101.

1. Registration & NCCER Account Requirements

  • NCCER Account Creation: Students must create their own personal NCCER accounts to secure an official NCCER number. Cranes101 will provide account creation instructions and registration forms upon registration.
  • Form Deadlines: All completed registration forms must be submitted to Cranes101 by the specified deadline. Forms received after the due date, or those that are submitted incomplete, are not guaranteed entry into the class and may be subject to a $50 administrative fee per form.
  • No Day-of Registration: For safety and administrative reasons, same-day walk-in registrations are strictly prohibited.

2. Payment & Class Confirmation

  • Immediate Payment Required: Registration is not complete until payment is successfully authorized via Credit Card or bank ACH at checkout. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Minimum Attendance Requirement: Because this is an open class, dates and staffing are dependent upon meeting a minimum attendance requirement. If the minimum enrollment is not met 1 week prior to the start date, Cranes101 reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the class. If a class is canceled by Cranes101 due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling, & No-Shows

All cancellation notices must be submitted to Cranes101 in writing. Because our pricing relies on minimum attendance numbers, the following policies apply:

  • 15+ Days Before Class: Eligible for a full refund.
  • 1 to 14 Days Before Class: Eligible for a credit toward a future class, OR a refund of the registration fee minus any unrecoverable costs (including exam fees, instructor fees, and non-refundable travel expenses).
  • Less than 72 Hours Before Class: Eligible for a refund minus a $500 late cancellation fee and any unrecoverable fees incurred by Cranes101 (exam registration, travel arrangements, etc.), OR a credit for a future class to be used within one (1) year of the original class date.
  • No-Shows: If a student fails to show up without prior written notice, no refunds or credits will be issued, and all fees are forfeited.
  • Inclement Weather: If Cranes101 must postpone training due to hazardous weather conditions, all rescheduling fees will be waived.

4. Exam & Equipment Requirements

  • Crane Type Confirmation: You must confirm the specific crane type(s) required for certification at the time of registration.
  • Equipment Provision: If the host company does not have the crane type required for your certification, you must provide the applicable crane(s) for the scheduled exam date. All cranes provided for testing must be current on safety inspections and in safe operating condition.
  • Offsite Practical Exams: If a crane cannot be brought to the testing location, clients may schedule the exam at their crane’s physical location. Offsite exams will incur a $795 examiner fee, plus door-to-door travel expenses (including mileage, hotel, rental car, and flights).

5. Exam & Retest Fees

  • Included Exams: The base registration price includes one (1) Practical Exam and one (1) Written Exam per student.
  • Additional/Retest Fees: Additional practical exams are $195 each. Additional written exams or retests are $295 each.
  • Retest Policies: Retest policies are dictated by NCCER, not Cranes101. If a candidate fails an exam, they must reschedule and retest within one (1) year of the original exam date. Per NCCER rules, there is a mandatory 2-day waiting period to retest after a first failed attempt.

6. General Policies

  • Termination by Cranes101: Cranes101 reserves the right to terminate this agreement and remove a student if the client fails to comply with these terms, or if Cranes101 reasonably believes that continuing with the client would breach safety regulations or industry professional conduct rules.
  • Wallet Card Replacements: A $25 fee will be charged for corrected or replacement wallet cards if:
    1. Cranes101 confirms successful USPS delivery to the address provided by the customer.
    2. The replacement is due to a misspelled name provided erroneously by the student or customer.
  • Photo & Media Release: By attending this course, you agree to the use of your likeness in Cranes101’s promotional materials (including our website and marketing channels) without monetary compensation.
