We recently were asked what a person should take for continuing education courses if they hold a Municipal Limited hoisting engineer license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As this is not a common question, we went right to the source, the Office of Public Safety and Inspections, to get the answer.
A Municipal Limited license covers the 1C, 2B, and 4G restrictions, meaning holders can operate telescopic booms without running ropes, forklifts, backhoes, front end loaders, and specialty lawn mowers. Therefore, if you have the ML restriction on your license, to renew it, you should be taking the 1C, 2B, and 4G continuing education courses and send the certificates from those to OPSI.
Take these courses easily with Cranes101 online when you are ready to renew.
