“The City of Woonsocket RI is conducting a search for a Construction Supervisor. Working under the direction of the Director of Planning & Development and the Federal Administrator of Programs & Grants, the Construction Supervisor is responsible for all field inspections, as well as the supervision and administration of all construction projects for the City of Woonsocket. Additional duties include but are not limited to the following: preparing written construction specifications, technical drawings, and cost estimates for all projects, preparing bid specifications for the Blight Reduction Program, managing demolition projects, as well as providing CDBG Rehab Program services for the communities of North Smithfield and Cumberland. The Successful applicant must possess a high school diploma, or a GED equivalent with six years of experience in the construction field as either an inspector, foreman, supervisor, draftsperson, architectural designer or any combination thereof. College education in any of these areas may serve as a substitute. Must be able to meet critical deadlines, make immediate judgements on construction projects, have knowledge of construction procedures and policies, and work well with the general public. Background in residential construction is required.”
