This overhead crane operator safety training course covers operation, inspection, rigging, owners’ responsibility and operators’ responsibility. It includes hands-on training as well. 

This training meets the requirements mandated in OSHA Overhead and gantry cranes 29CFR1910.179(b)(8), ASME B30.16, B30.17 and OSH act of 1970 General Duty Clause 5(a)(1)

A completion of safety training certificate is awarded by Cranes 101.  Operators who successfully pass the hands on qualification receive a Qualified Operator certificate as well as a wallet card

OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to equipment specific safety training, OSHA requires operators to be evaluated on the equipment they operate.  While this can be done by a supervisor, most of our customers prefer a 3rd party evaluation.  Operators receive a certificate as well as a wallet card which includes the make, model and serial number of the equipment they were tested on.

We offer hands-on qualification on various types of equipment including forklift, MEWP, bucket trucks and mobile cranes.  We can provide the evaluations with or without a safety training class, but recommend holding both on the same day – safety training class in the morning, lunch break, qualifications in the afternoon
